After developing the character and background in Illustrator, I thought I’d try and “roughen up” the illustration a little bit. After composing and doing a little airbrushing in photoshop, a black & white print out was run through a b&w photo copier, enlarging, reducing, lightening and darkening. The photo copy is scanned back into the computer and color is added. I’ve used this technique before and it always has some really interesting results.
